Brisbane Lions appoint Ryan Davis as AFLW Assistant coach

The Brisbane Lions are excited to announce the appointment of Ryan Davis as their new AFLW Assistant coach ahead of the 2024 season.

Davis, a former AFL player with the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Lions.

He has been involved in coaching at various levels for the past five years, including as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs' VFLW team and as the head coach of the Eastern Ranges' TAC Cup Girls team.

Davis is a highly respected figure in the AFLW community, and the Lions are confident that he will make a significant contribution to their program.

"We are delighted to have Ryan join our coaching team," Lions AFLW Senior Coach Craig Starcevich said.

"He has a proven track record of success at both the AFL and AFLW levels, and we believe he will be a valuable asset to our group."

Davis is excited to join the Lions and is looking forward to working with the players and coaches to help the team achieve its goals.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Brisbane Lions," Davis said.

"This is a club with a rich history and a bright future, and I am excited to be a part of it."

The Lions will begin their 2024 AFLW campaign on August 25 against the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba.
